The Grey Zone
it's one of my personal favorites, it's an awesome movie!

It shows you how some things really were, you almost can feel how they felt (atleast if u have some empathy ofcourse)
Life in a concentrationcamp...
I think it's very well put together. It is really a must see!

imdb link (can be spoilers in there, I think they warn.) here u can read the story line.
Code:
www.imdb.com/title/tt0252480/

argch! Twisted Evil Devil we're havin trouble with posting links... so can't post youtube video's either Rolling Eyes
I think this guy (csimiami151) posted whole movie on youtube in 9minute pieces. (but it's better downloading/renting/buying) dunno quality.
part 1 from this guy:
Code:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOf13WopYJE

I didn't post a trailer of the movie bacause it's total bullshit and doesn't compliment/ do the movie right.

Hope you'll check it out & like it! :wink:

As you might of known or not i collect war movies and allready have a big collection of them and this topic might give you hints of films that are released but you never knew.
I only mention films i collected from WWI and WWII
MGM released the following films;

Where Eagles Dare
actors; Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood,
http://youtu.be/b-_P-DoBe6E
Storyline;
A elite detail commando's gets a dabgerous mission to rescue a American general from a fortress in the bavarian alps.
Dressed as German they can't trust anyone and even can't trust fellow team members.

It was one of the first films played by Clint Eastwood and bacame a classic and if you like detective movies you will like this one as well.

Released in 1968 and art. nr is65186
____________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________

Operatioon Pacific
Starring John Wayne
http://youtu.be/lKkBdvS5kso
Black and White film about a submarine fighting in the pacific with John Wayne playing a role as a captain who takes risks engaging the enemy but gets respect from the crew,
and with a love story in the background from captain with nurse to show the human side.

If you don't mind watching black and white films it's a great classic but storylines are usually slow if you compare them to modern ones.

Released in 1951 art.nr12155
_____________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________ ______________

Kelly's Heroes
Starring Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas and Donald Sutherland
http://youtu.be/beAQVm1j56w
A outfit of American soldiers get info on Nazi gold being behind enemy lines and decide to go for it taking passengers allong the way and even include german soldiers to get it.

One of the strangest war movies ever with humor in it but a real good one in my opinion especially Donald Sutherland plays a great role in this film playing a real nutcase.

Released in 1970 art.nr65156

By the way, there were two uprisings in Warsaw during WWII, not only one. The first one was in 1943 and it was uprising in Warsaw ghetto. Jews with some help from Polish Resistance were fighting for their lifes for about 4 weeks - with no chance for victory. After that Warsaw ghetto was totally destroyed.

The second uprising was in 1944: much bigger (almost whole city) and longer (2 months). Poles were fighting against Germans to capture the city before Red Army will enter their capital. After that uprising Warsaw was turned into ruins. Click here to see Warsaw 1944 from the sky

Flags of our Fathers
http://youtu.be/uKuym66LIr4
After raising the flag of Iwo Jima some of the soldiers get a chance to return home to make a propaganda tour to raise war bonds.
First they like it but soon they feel guilty that they are pamperd while others risk their lives.
This film is one of two made showing both side of the story around Iwo Jima filmed from both perspectives called Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima.

Letters from Iwo Jima;
http://youtu.be/8vFrTGH9-Ko
As i mentioned this is the film showing the Japanes side of the story showing that the Japanes fought this one with the idea ,you fight and die surrender is no option honour comes first.
It shows what a waste of live it is to fight till the death leaving familys behind and is an eye opener, which gives you a clue what tragedy went on over there.

Personally i found the Japanes side of the story more interesting than the American side filmed, but the films are good.

Released in 2007 if i am not mistaken art.nrY16788 for the box containing both films.
